Car Craft 2004, Bingley - March 2005
Our stand this year was within the main exhibition hall which was reasonably warm all day and much preferred to the annex that we were in last year so a big thank you to the organisers for being kind enough to allow us to have this prime spot. We had six cars indoors on Saturday, seven on Sunday and a few were to be seen in the outside display area over the weekend, not bad considering it was pretty cold.
There was a lot of interest shown in the cars over the weekend and in particular Russ Pursley's Chevy V8 powered Phaeton S1 with most people shaking their heads and walking away with a grin on their faces having read the time sheets, a standing quarter in 10.3 seconds at 137mph is by no means hanging about! For those hunting for parts, of which I was one, the trade stands seemed a bit thin on the ground and many selling items that are more for the Max Power brigade than a kit car builder.
