Harrowgate - June 2002
Held on the Sunday and bank holiday Monday of Jubilee weekend at The Great Yorkshire Showground and called “Cars In The Park” this year which included sports, classics and kit cars and also SCORR (short course of road racing) buggies racing around in the field opposite.
A fairly good turn out of Dutts on Sunday thanks to the sunny weather, 12 in total with 4 staying over for Monday and another 3 arriving for the not so sunny afternoon.
The halls where only half full with manufactures and trade stands. with some of the remaining space taken by well preserved classics and a few unfinished Minis. Outside was a different story, nearly all the club stands where well attended with lots turning up in convoy. The MG owners corralled their cars with frilly bunting and a flag. The Imp owners had a problem with their scaffold banner falling over after taking an hour to set up.
