Annual testing days at Llandow Racetrack - Friday 2nd July, Saturday 3rd July 1999

The first weekend in July was the club's eleventh trip to this South Wales track and all those who made the journey, including one Dutton from Belgium, had the usual fun time.

On the track we managed a mix of several Dutton models including one Sierra, with another as the tow truck for those few unfortunate enough to break down. As always a few other invited cars made the event, and fortunately the St.John Ambulance who show up each year to look out for us had a quiet couple of days.

Those cars present ranged from everyday use cars to those set up purely for racing. 'Yellow Peril' (no photo yet) was up to it's usual tricks of removing parts of it's bodywork, once it was back on the track after a rotor arm had been tracked down and replaced.

A Caterham 7 visiting the track - no match for a Dutton though! Ken Boulstridge making short shrift of the corners in his lovely red B Type
Ken Marsh - an old hand at the racing game - speeding down the pits ready to join the track Locust belonging to S. Moore doing the chicane thing
Martin Ward's very nice Sylva - fast and pretty Andy Jones and his Malaga B+ negotiating the bottom corners
Mark Young - the DOCs very own membership secretary throwing his S4 about in a very ungainly fashion... Its very silly - and we like it

David Scarle's Sierra - doing things Sierras ought not to be able to do
