Stoneleigh - May 2004
As usual for the biggest kit show the turnout was good, although the rain didn't help on Monday.
For those who arrived on the Saturday afternoon they had to endure a heavy downpour which made the grassy areas very slippery. Those arriving at their hotel slightly later only suffered a few spots of rain and plenty of spray which meant the roof could stay in the boot.
An overcast Sunday which occasionally gave way to sunshine meant that the usual high number of kits turned up, with many good condition Duttons resulting from restorations and rebuilds.
Sunday morning started off with heavy and persistent rain which meant the numbers were greatly reduced with the majority being those who had stayed with a few new cars arriving. This was the same for all kits and the halls were deserted in comparison to Sunday. A pity since the afternoon was bathed in brilliant sunshine such that a topless drive back was possible.
