Stoneleigh - May 2005
25 years of the Dutton Owners Club
This year we were celebrating 25 years
of the Dutton Owners Club at Stoneleigh and also 35 years of Duttons. To help in
this we had one of the first Duttons, a P1 chassis number 2, and one of the
last, a Dutton Commander that Tim Dutton brought along.
We had a very good turnout with about 70 cars on Sunday and about 40 on Monday.
A marquee had been hired to house a few cars during the day but mainly for some
shelter for our pig roast, which due to a few problems ended up being a BBQ
which was enjoyed by over 50 who were there on Sunday evening. Many thanks to
Tim Dutton for coming along and judging the best cars on Monday and staying to
award the trophies.
As usual the Duttons there varied considerably with many good condition Duttons
resulting from restorations and rebuilds, and some were trailered there (tempted
by the offer of limited edition 25 year plaques), so you could see a few
undergoing rebuild / modifications.
